In a world of conspiracy theories, all homeschool parents should be searching for the truth, and Christian homeschool parents in particular. We owe it to our kids to present facts, to seek truth, and to teach them how to think critically. And nowhere is this more obvious than on the topic of Israel and the Jews.
I’m sharing a list of sources that I consider trustworthy, and I urge you to prayerfully and carefully consider each one. All of these sources are suitable for all ages, and I especially encourage you to let your teens read and watch them.

1. The Bible
Our Christian faith is rooted in the word of God, the God of the jews, the God of Israel. We cannot adequately understand or practice the Christian faith without this worldview. If you are not reading the entire Bible regularly, this is where you must begin. Read the Old Testament and the New Testament. Get a good study Bible if you don’t already have one. (I love my John MacArthur Study Bible in NKJV or ESV.) Consider using a chronological reading plan to understand the big picture. (Here’s a good one.)
For homeschooling, do the same with your kids. You can read this blog post I wrote on teaching the Bible to your kids. In addition, help them to understand ancient history with the biblical perspective interwoven. I love Mystery of History Volume 1 for this purpose!
Compare your Bible reading to everything you see on the internet. I am not exaggerating when I say this. Hold influencers up to the scriptures. Who do you trust? Who do you believe?

2. Understand how the internet is designed to influence you
Liberty MacArtor on the Know Why Podcast did an episode devoted to the way algorithms and bots are designed to suck us into black holes dedicated to just one topic. This particular episode went further to explain how this contributes to the explosion of antisemitism.
Even if you understand this, I urge you to let your kids watch or listen to this episode for general purposes as well as the Israel angle.

3. Listen to Steven Briggs (Israel Matters) explain Zionism on the Culture Proof Podcast
While you’re at it, check out the Israel Matters YouTube channel for more.
4. Listen to Mike Winger explain the biblical view of “replacement theology”
Mike Winger (Bible Thinker) is faithful to the scriptures.
5. Learn where the conspiracy theories come from
Melissa Dougherty explored the “Elders of Zion” document that has influenced the most aggressive influencers online (as well as previous generations).
6. Think about how Christians should view Israel today
- Pastor Kevin Hay wrote “Should Christians Support Modern Israel?” for Expository Parenting
- Costi Hinn wrote “Do Christians Have to Stand with Israel” and the follow-up “Is Modern Israel the Biblical Israel?” at For the Gospel
7. Learn the history of ancient and modern Israel
I recently did a podcast with David from History for the Ages, a college history professor. He has a YouTube channel packed with lessons all throughout history, on many topics, but you’ll appreciate his Israel playlist, especially the Concise History of Israel.
