Blog, Expository Parenting, homeschool

Nicki writes monthly for Expository Parenting Ministries. You can read all of the posts here.

There are several ways that money affects the ability to homeschool, and in my newest post for Expository Parenting Ministries, I’d like to address each of them with encouragement and solutions. Whether the concern is living on one income, budgeting money for curriculum and activities, or figuring out how to work and homeschool, there are numerous options!

homeschooling and money

In my 22+ years of homeschooling, I have been a single mom and a working mom, and of course, a blend of the two. I know that Anyone Can Homeschool, and I have a passion for sharing this encouragement with others.

Read my post at Expository Parenting to understand why it’s possible, how to go from two incomes to one, how to manage working and homeschooling, and how to buy curriculum on a tight budget.

Expository Parenting Ministries exists to encourage and equip parents to teach their children, verse by verse, in the scriptures. Pick up the book Expository Parenting and make daily Bible study a part of your family life!

The ultimate goal of Christian home education is not to get kids into the best colleges or to get the best careers. It is to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is discipleship. I first learned that Anyone Can Homeschool from my mom. Oh, I didn’t realize at the time that I was learning that, but as a mom, I see that it was her example that encouraged me. Homeschool 101 I was a homeschool student in Texas in 1985. It wasn’t legal until 1994. Do the math. 😃 https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqHZnKssxcm/ What qualifies someone to teach a child? Good morning to every homeschool parent with a disobedient child! Guess what?! You are not alone! This is a sampling of our homeschool topics this week. This is why we don’t need government intervention. Not one of these resources would be “approved” curriculum. Hot take.
