I have found very few online homeschool curriculum options that I like and recommend, so I don’t share too many with my readers. But this is one that I can share with confidence: SchoolhouseTeachers.com is a solid, affordable online curriculum with a biblical worldview.
Affordable
Affordability is probably the most important factor in a homeschool curriculum for most families. And the more children you have, the more expensive it becomes to educate at home. That’s why SchoolhouseTeachers.com is so amazing! You pay one price (annually, quarterly, or even monthly) for the entire family to use the platform. That includes core subjects + electives for every child you have, from preschool through 12th grade. And if you use my special link, that annual fee is just $189. That’s just under $16 a month to educate all of your children at home. What an answer to prayer!
Biblical Worldview
I’m very choosy with my homeschool curriculum, because I’m not just educating my children in a different location; I’m choosing to give them an entirely different worldview than they would receive in public school. A biblical worldview is at the very tippy top of my reasons for choosing each curriculum I buy. I want my children to learn basic correct biology, biblical creation, beautiful language, history from primary sources — you get the idea. No woke agendas, no Marxist pedagogy.
Schoolhouse Teachers provides this kind of home education so you don’t have to worry about it sneaking into math word problems or “updated” science materials. You can’t say the same for secular sites like Khan Academy or Study.com.
A few years back I was asked to review Study.com math materials on my blog in exchange for free access to their services. I agreed. I like to explore the whole website of a company as part of my research. I tested the math portion of their website based on the math level of two of my own kids. We have used Math-U-See for over ten years, and are happy with it, but I always welcome new ways to practice or drill math concepts. For me, the Study.com site seemed very disjointed and did not offer the kind of instruction I have found to be so helpful.
While reading the fine print on Study.com, I found that they donate a portion of their proceeds to the Pride Foundation.
I wrote back, explaining that I could not support or recommend their company:
“Finally, I cannot recommend an organization that donates money to the Pride Foundation. As a Christian, this goes against everything the Bible teaches about sexual purity and the biblical model of marriage. It is certainly the right of Study.com to donate money as they see fit, but it is also the right of parents to support companies as they see fit, and in this case, I cannot.”
Parents, we need to be wise, discerning, and bold for our children. We need to rethink our priorities. Our children need to see that we will not compromise—- for any reason. We can educate our children with excellent materials while upholding and strengthening the Christian faith.
Study.com also includes lessons like:

-Gender Identity as a Social Construct
It’s a secular company teaching many varied worldviews, and none of them are biblical.
The curriculum matters. Don’t get sucked into a curriculum or website because it’s easy or cheap or “accredited.” Compare the principles to scripture. Ask yourself if you can follow the admonition in Deuteronomy 6: 6-9 with that curriculum.

Convenience
The two most convenient aspects of this program are that it is online and it is self-paced. Many families need these features in a curriculum due to work schedules. Whether it’s a single parent or two working parents, knowing that there’s no extra curriculum to buy and no lessons to plan is a huge relief.
For my teens, it’s easy to set up the courses I have chosen for them. I simply bookmark what each of them will study, and they only need to log in to our dashboard and click on their name. Their progress is saved, and they can pick up where they left off.
Choices
There are over 400 courses to choose from, both for core subjects and electives. These start at preschool and go all the way through 12th grade. Whether you build a selection for your students, or choose a grade-level School Box, the possibilities for every age and grade are amazing! As you can see from the screenshots above, we are using many of the electives available to supplement our physical curriculum at home.
And, students learn at their own pace. Whether your child races through a subject or needs plenty of time to take it slow, each course is on their terms. My son is taking an “eight week” course in Microsoft Word Basics, but he’s really doing it in 8 days (one lesson per day). This is the beauty of homeschooling: your timetable! That takes a lot of stress off of families and kids.
